Legislation Guidance

Our chemists have in-depth knowledge of the legislation surrounding hazardous waste transportation and disposal. We take a pro-active approach to legislation changes, keeping our customers up-to-date with forthcoming changes that will effect them. Our customers are never more than a phone call or an email away from technically competent individuals, should they require information or help with any aspect of waste disposal or transportation.

We are able to supply all the legal documentation required for the removal of waste, as required, - consignment notes, dangerous goods notes, trem cards, UN approved labels; and are happy to to take full responsibility for arranging transport and booking loads into disposal sites.  We can also offer a re-packaging service for unsafe containers and laboratory smalls.

Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA)

Nearly all organisations engaged in the transportation of dangerous goods must appoint a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser. A DGSA must have passed a written examination and hold a training certificate, and often for small and medium enterprises it can be costly to appoint an adviser in house.  Blue Environmental is able to provide DGSA services to your business using our own Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser; we can be contracted to fulfill your legal obligations under current EU law.

The provision of a DGSA for your business will cover the following main functions:

• Monitoring compliance with the rules governing the transport of dangerous goods
• Advising the employer on the transport of dangerous goods
• Ensuring that an annual report to the employer is prepared on the activities of the employer concerning the transport of dangerous goods
• Monitoring the practices, procedures and activities of the employer concerning dangerous goods
